A Joyful Morning by the Sea

There is something truly magical about family photography at West Wittering Beach. This session took place early in the morning, when the beach was still quiet, the sand cool, and the light soft. I have photographed this wonderful family before, so it was a joy to see them again for their third session with me. Watching the children grow and capturing their personalities over the years is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Kids Being Kids – My Approach to Family Sessions

One of my mottos as a photographer is simple: kids can be kids. That philosophy shapes the way I run my sessions. At the beach, children are free to run, explore, laugh, and let their energy shine. Instead of posing stiffly, we keep things moving, and the fun never stops. As a result, the images are natural, relaxed, and full of real emotion.

For this session, we ran along the shoreline, played games, and shared plenty of jokes. The children never had time to feel bored because the momentum kept flowing. This approach helps families relax and ensures the photos reflect genuine joy and connection.

The Beauty of West Wittering Beach
West Wittering is one of West Sussex’s most loved coastal locations, and it’s easy to see why it makes such a perfect backdrop for family photography. With its wide sandy beaches, charming beach huts, and open space, it offers a wonderful setting for playful portraits. The natural beauty of the coast, combined with a family’s energy, creates photographs that are timeless and full of warmth.

Why Choose a Beach Session?
Choosing a beach session is ideal if you love natural outdoor photography. Children can explore, parents can relax, and together we can capture images that feel authentic and joyful. Sessions like this show the personality of your family at its best — carefree, connected, and enjoying time together.
