Southsea Surprise Proposal at Sunset

Some photo sessions are extra special—and this one was unforgettable. He had planned a romantic walk along Southsea beach, but hidden in the plan was a huge surprise: a real proposal. I was already waiting, camera ready, as the sun dipped low across the Portsmouth coastline.

The moment he dropped to one knee, her expression said it all—complete surprise, joy, and then laughter as she said yes. Photographing a proposal like this is about being discreet, letting the couple enjoy their moment, while capturing every emotion as it unfolds.

Southsea has such a timeless backdrop for a proposal: the sea stretching endlessly, the pier in the distance, and the warm golden glow of sunset. He led her towards the water, then turned and knelt down. Her reaction? Pure, unfiltered happiness.
